Wythenshawe Monday & Tuesday Sessions
The new term begins this autumn at Wythenshawe Forum Library Creative Space, with weekly funded band sessions for local young people.
No previous musical experience is needed, instruments are provided and the sessions are completely FREE.
Places are limited, so families interested in joining the Autumn term are encouraged to get in touch.
🎸 Learn an instrument. Join a band. Make some noise.
The sessions are about much more than learning an instrument. They provide a safe, welcoming and creative space where young people can meet others, express themselves, develop confidence and experience the sense of achievement that comes from creating and performing music together.
We are incredibly grateful to Manchester City Council and the Your Neighbourhood Fund for continuing to support the project for another year and recognising the importance of keeping opportunities like this free and accessible to young people in Wythenshawe.
Old Trafford Saturday Sessions
Every Saturday, we collaborate with the We Will Rock You Project to host an exciting day of band sessions, running in one-hour blocks from 11 am to 4 pm. Each session features small, focused groups of up to six participants.
These sessions give young people the opportunity to join a band, explore a variety of popular instruments—including electric guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, and vocals—and work on a set list of songs throughout the term. With performance opportunities along the way, participants grow as musicians, develop teamwork skills, and naturally gravitate toward their preferred instruments and roles within the band.
