Wythenshawe Monday & Tuesday Sessions

We're really looking forward to the opening of the Wythenshawe Forum Library Creative Space and are pleased to say we have received funding from Manchester City Council's Neighbourhood Investment Fund to run weekly music sessions over a full academic year (3 x 10 week terms) in the space.

Each 1 hour weekly session will allow up to 10 spaces and get the students jamming, learning and making music in a band setting with a professional musician with the opportunity to learn different instruments including drum kit, bass and electric guitar, keyboard and vocals. They will work together as a group, learning popular songs whilst following the GCSE, BTEC and RSL graded syllabus structure. Each group will also be given valuable performance opportunities throughout each term.

Complete beginners are welcome and there are no barriers. These sessions are available to all young people local to Wythenshawe.

Get in touch to register your interest for our Monday & Tuesday 4pm & 5pm sessions.

Stretford Saturday Sessions

Every Saturday, we collaborate with the We Will Rock You Project to host an exciting day of band sessions, running in one-hour blocks from 11 am to 4 pm. Each session features small, focused groups of up to six participants.

These sessions give young people the opportunity to join a band, explore a variety of popular instruments—including electric guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, and vocals—and work on a set list of songs throughout the term. With performance opportunities along the way, participants grow as musicians, develop teamwork skills, and naturally gravitate toward their preferred instruments and roles within the band.

Interested in joining one of our Saturday groups? Get in touch to register your interest, and we’ll contact you as soon as we have a funded space available!

Adult Band Session - Friday 12th June 2026

Music Evermore is proud to be part of this year’s Festival of Lifelong Learning with a special Adult Band Session taking place on Friday 12th June 2026 from 1pm – 3pm at Wythenshawe Forum Library Creative Space. The fully funded two-hour session invites adults aged 18+ to come together to jam, create music and try out a range of instruments in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Whether participants are experienced musicians or complete beginners looking to build confidence and try something new, all are welcome. With drums, electric guitars, keyboards and vocal microphones all provided, the session aims to celebrate creativity, community and the joy of making music at any age. The event will feature support from local musicians Chris Hough (The Slow Show) and Chris Maddon (Spin Klass). Spaces are limited and advance booking is required.

Schools

  • The music sessions at Peel Hall Primary Academy are a highlight for the children. Each week the pupils look forward to their lessons and engage with such enthusiasm. It’s wonderful to see their excitement as they explore new sounds and skills. Parents have also shared how much their children talk about and enjoy these lessons at home. These sessions are not just teaching music - they’re inspiring creativity, confidence and a love of learning throughout the school.
