Huge thanks to our mainstage sponsor, broadband provider BRSK, for helping us bring in professional sound gear to make the day sound incredible!

We also continue to thank all our brilliant funders — Manchester City Council’s Neighbourhood Investment Fund, Heist or Hit, Rising Tide AI, the Manchester Airport Community Trust Fund, and the public donors and partners who support our work every month. 🙌💙

🎶 Wythenshawe Forum Sessions

Funded by Manchester City Council’s Neighbourhood Investment Fund

As we approach festival weekend, the bands at the Forum are dialled in and bringing the energy!

  • Monday groups have been rotating instruments, challenging themselves to play in different positions, and finalising their setlists.

  • Tuesday groups are polishing every detail, with impressive teamwork and commitment to the cause.

From Paramore and 21 Pilots to Blur and Queen, the range of genres is massive — just like their talent!

🎤 Peel Hall Primary School

Funded by Heist or Hit

The school is buzzing ahead of their end-of-term performance, and a detailed running order is in place to keep things running smoothly.
Each year group is getting stage-ready, with highlights including:

  • Happy by Pharrell Williams (Y1 with Choir)

  • Stargazing by Myles Smith (Choir)

  • We Will Rock You, Budapest, Call Me Maybe, Rolling in the Deep and more!

All classes — plus Rock Band and Choir — have worked so hard this year, and this final showcase is going to be a fantastic celebration of their efforts and progress.

🎸 Claremont Primary School

Funded by Heist or Hit

Final prep is underway for the 8th July classroom performances.

  • Groups have agreed on two-song sets each, and rehearsals are sounding fantastic.

  • The nurture group has transitioned to more group-focused playing and requested more bell-led songs, all while continuing to enjoy the ukulele and glockenspiel.

The vibe? Confident, cohesive, and creative — just how we like it!

🎵 Webster Primary School

Funded by Rising Tide AI

It’s time for WEBSTOCK!

  • The Beatles-themed showcase last month was a triumph — now all groups are working hard for their playground performance, complete with bouncy castles and face painting.

  • Year 6 are also preparing for their leavers’ assembly, performing Wonderwall and Stand By Me.

  • The Y6 rock band have a storming 6-song set ready to go, and Y5’s band is armed with 5 hits.

It’s all about going out with a bang at Webster!

🎶 St Mary’s Primary School

Funded by Rising Tide AI

It’s been a slightly disrupted term due to absences, but the students have made the most of every session:

  • Group 1 are performing Happy, making the most of their earlier progress.

  • Group 2 focused on polishing Higher Ground rather than pushing for a second song — a wise and musical move!

Despite the challenges, both groups have developed musically, grown in confidence, and maintained a strong level of commitment.

🥁 Saturday Band Sessions – Stretford

Supported by public donors, John Thomson, and the Sale & Altrincham Good Afternooners Women’s Institute

Every Saturday band is now laser-focused on Festival Day!

  • Group 1 will perform Believer and Talking to the Road (an original!).

  • Group 2 have nailed Seven Nation Army, Come Together, and Bittersweet Symphony.

  • Group 3 are reintroducing Dance Floor by Arctic Monkeys and refining their full set.

  • Group 4 have welcomed a new guitarist, bringing extra layers to their sound — and their take on Weak by Skunk Anansie is sounding amazing.

  • Group 5 are finally hitting their stride with consistent rehearsals and two strong songs locked in — we’re buzzing to hear them live!

🌞 The Final Countdown...

July is here, the sun is out (for now), and we can’t wait to show off what our young musicians have been working on all year. Every student, school, tutor, and supporter has helped build something truly special.
