Wow, what a month! Weâve been busy Marching on in March with some of our biggest events yet, including national press coverage from Dork for our work with Heist or Hit, the Manchester record label. ⨠Wythenshawe Forum Sessions - Funded by MCC Neighbourhood Investment Fund
Teaming up with Brighter Sound, we pulled off a SOLD-OUT show on 22nd March at the Wythenshawe Forum, bringing together incredible talent from across the area. Every band delivered a killer performance, showing just how far theyâve come since January. From soundcheck to showtime, the professionalism and passion were off the charts!
A huge shoutout to Media Cubs, who were fantastic in teaching our young rock stars essential media skills, from shooting videos to handling interviews. We can't wait to see the footage and watch the kids shine both on stage and on screen!
đ¤ Peel Hall Primary School - Funded by Heist or Hit
At Peel Hall Primary School, itâs been a month full of musical growth!
KS1 have been nailing complex rhythms and lyrics through an array of Disney songs, working on their singing voices and rhythmic skills while learning about different types of percussion.
KS2 are building a seriously impressive repertoire for their end-of-year showcase, with Years 3 & 4 mastering Shotgun and Budapest by George Ezra, while Years 5 & 6 tackle more complex songs with bridges and pre-choruses to deepen their understanding of music theory.
The Rock Band is working hard on Watermelon Sugar by Harry Styles, and the Choir is soaring with Stargazing by Myles Smith alongside Year 5.
đ¸ Claremont Primary School - Funded by Heist or Hit
Itâs been a month of progression and confidence-building at Claremont Primary School!
Our groups are making huge strides with Thick of It by KSI, Believer by Imagine Dragons, and Sigma Boy by Betsy. The recent switch to electric instruments and full drum kits has been challenging, but theyâve risen to the occasion brilliantly!
The Nurture Group continues to shine, jamming freely on ukuleles, glockenspiels, and bells, with each child taking turns to perform solos and build their confidence.
đś Webster Primary School - Funded by Rising Tide AI
Webster Primary School finished the term with an epic showcase that coincided with the end of Eid. Dressed up and in high spirits, the children wowed parents and the community in a packed-out hall!
The Year 5 Rock Band opened with a powerful rendition of Killing Me Softly.
The Year 4 cohort, joined by the Year 2 Rock Choir, performed Sit Down by James.
Live Forever by Oasis and I Want It That Way by the Backstreet Boys were met with rapturous applause.
Year 3 and Reception wowed us with Sit Down and We Will Rock You by Queen, featuring some awesome body percussion.
To top it off, a Year 4 student smashed her Rockschool Debut exam and passed with meritâa massive achievement!
đľ St Mary's Primary School - Funded by Rising Tide AI
At St Maryâs, the Year 5s took on the challenge of mastering two songs each for their Spring concert:
Group 1 nailed Sunflower by Post Malone and Stargazing by Myles Smith.
Group 2 conquered Another One Bites the Dust by Queen and Watermelon Sugar by Harry Styles.
Both groups brought the house down in their best performance yet!

Supported by public donors, John Thomson, and the Sale & Altrincham Good Afternooners Womenâs Institute
Our Saturday bands have been smashing it:
Group 1 rocked Believer by Imagine Dragons and Lucky Man by The Verve.
Group 2 have jammed on Come Together by The Beatles.
Group 3 are flying through Paper Planes by M.I.A., with lead singer stepping up as vocalistâsheâs smashing it!
Group 4 continue to refine No Surprises and Mollyâs Chambers with the addition of a new member on vocals, bringing new life to the tracks.
Group 5 are absolutely loving Happy by Pharrell Williams, showing excellent teamwork and enthusiasm.
